Development of tools utilizing artificial intelligence, machine learning, and other innovative methodologies to transform and make accessible cultural heritage assets while ensuring inclusivity and consultation with stakeholders.
The overarching goal of the SHIFT project is to develop a series of technologically advanced tools that will empower cultural heritage institutions to enhance the accessibility and engagement of their assets, enhancing the inclusivity of cultural heritage for diverse user populations, including persons with disabilities. This will be achieved through the deployment of cutting-edge methodologies such as artificial intelligence, machine learning, haptics, and multi-modal data processing. The project aims to involve stakeholders and end-users in the development process through open consultation and feedback, ensuring that the tools are tailored to meet the needs and requirements of cultural heritage institutions, heritage professionals, and vulnerable groups. Ultimately, the project aims to support maintaining and preserving cultural heritage assets while enabling new experiences and opportunities for all citizens.
