FORTH-ICS undertakes to make its website: ics.forth.gr accessible, in accordance with the provisions of Law 4727/2020 (Government Gazette 184 A’ 23-09-2020), Chapter H’ “DIGITAL ACCESSORIES (INTRODUCTION IN THE GREEK LEGISLATION OF DIRECTION (EU) 2016/2102 of the European Parliament and the Council of 26 October 2016, for the accessibility of websites and applications for portable devices of the PUBLIC ORGANIZATION) ” the Directive (EU) 2016/2012.
This accessibility statement applies to the website ics.forth.gr
The website ics.forth.gr fully complies (is largely compliant) with the guidelines for accessibility of web content (WCAG 2.1 AA). The website's accessibility menu uses Sienna accessibility widget software to improve accessibility for visually impaired people.
This statement was prepared on June 26, 2023. The assessment of the website’s compliance with the requirements of Directive (EU) 2016/2102 was carried out with a self-assessment carried out by the public sector organization and with the use of the WAVE Website Accessibility Evaluation Tool.
According to point (e) of par. 3 of Art. 37 of Law no. 4727/2020, the content of third-party websites is excluded. This case concerns third party websites other than ics.forth.gr, which are accessible via links.
According to the provisions of Law 4727/2020 (Government Gazette 184 A’ 23-09-2020), article 45, every interested party has the right to submit observations or request for information regarding the compliance status or request for missing information. The accessibility menu of the ics.forth.gr website is activated by clicking on the accessibility menu icon that appears around the perimeter of the page. After activating the accessibility menu, wait a while for it to load in its entirety. There is an ongoing effort by FORTH-ICS to improve and remedy accessibility issues, with regular scans of ics.forth.gr with the WAVE accessibility scanner.
However, despite our desire to make all pages and content on ics.forth.gr fully accessible, some content may not yet be fully adapted to the stricter accessibility standards.
