The Institute of Computer Science of the Foundation for Research and Technology Hellas participated in the International Defense Exhibition Athens (DEFEA) that took place between 13 and 15 July 2021 in Athens.
ICS-FORTH presented relevant innovations and research outputs with the Rapid Emergency Deployment Communication Mobile Node (REDComm) and applications of autonomous robotic and aerial systems.
During the exhibition, the booth of ICS-FORTH was visited by several stakeholders including the Minister of Defense Mr. Nikolaos Panagiotopoulos, representatives of the Greek Army, the Police, the Fire Department and other relevant visitors and stakeholders showing a great interest and expressing their desire for further collaborations.
ICS-FORTH was represented by the Director of Institute of Computer Science Prof. Dimitris Plexousakis, the Head of the Computational Vision and Robotics Laboratory Prof. Panos Trahanias, Dr. Nikolaos Petroulakis, Dr. Markos Sigalas, Mr. Manolis Michalodimitrakis and Mr. Manolis Sourligas.
