The object of the Proximiot project is the design and development of an IoT platform for Proximity Marketing which will collect information about the positions of customers in real time and will process it in relation to historical information. It will analyze the overall data for decision making by the marketing department of the company and will perform their targeted interaction in real time through automatic sending of personalized promotional messages. The platform will make the most of the possibilities offered by advanced technologies and will contribute to the acceptance and spread of Internet of Things (IoT) technologies nationally and globally.
The operation of the IoT platform for Proximity Marketing will be based on the use of beacons (wireless transmitters detected via Bluetooth from users' mobile phones) in combination with the customers' smartphones.
