Crete hosts the International Conference on Pervasive Computing Technologies for Healthcare.
The 18th EAI International Conference on Pervasive Computing Technologies for Healthcare will take place at the facilities of FORTH in Heraklion, Crete from 17 to 18 September 2024, with the active participation and co-organization of the Institute of Computer Science (ICS) of FORTH, and the Center for Research & Technology Hellas (CERTH).
The aim of the conference is to present the recent scientific developments on telemedicine, the technologies designed and developed to face the challenges of Covid-19, and the way healthcare systems should be re-designed in collaboration between industry, academia and decision-makers to create advanced care systems.
The conference will feature two public talks. The first, scheduled for Tuesday, September 17th, will be given by Mary P. Czerwinski, Partner Research Manager at Microsoft Research’s Human Understanding and Empathy (HUE) Research Group, titled "Technology for Health and Wellbeing in the Workplace." The second talk, set for Wednesday, September 18th, will be delivered by Nikolaos Maglaveras, Professor of Medical Informatics at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, titled "Personalized Health Driven by Digital Health Systems, and Multi-Source Health/Environmental Data, and ML/AI/DL Analytics and Predictive Models." The conference will highlight groundbreaking scientific advancements in cutting-edge pervasive computing technologies and their profound impact on healthcare innovation.
The high impact and interdisciplinary character of the conference is attracting internationally renowned scientists from leading Universities and Research Centers abroad, which is a special honor for our island.
The conference is co-sponsored by the European Alliance for Innovation (EAI) and is co-organized by Prof. Haridimos Kondylakis (FORTH) and Dr. Andreas Triantafyllidis (CERTH).
