Great Distinction for CeHA at IΗE Connectathon 2024
The award-winning software suite "Integrated Care Solutions" (ICS), which has been developed by the Center for eHealth Applications and Services (CeHA) of the Institute of Computer Science of FORTH, was successfully tested this year for its compliance with IHE (Integrating the Healthcare Enterprise) integration profiles, at an international interoperability capability testing event against third parties.
The ICS application passed the relevant tests for fifteen integration profiles, that were conducted during the IHE-Europe Connectathon WEEK 2024, held in Trieste, Italy, on 3-7 June 2024.
The FORTH team that participated consisted of the following members:
The team achieved its goal, and after the completion of the evaluation was awarded the following SEALS:
As the Head of CeHA, Dimitrios Katehakis, stated, "These certificates of conformity ensure that software developed by CeHA is compatible with third-party systems in the global market and fully compatible with European policies designed and implemented regarding the interoperability of advanced health systems and services."
The IHE Connectathon SEAL stands as the exclusive, official international attestation provided by IHE, endorsing the quality of interoperability implementation in vendors’ products and it is valid for three years.
The presence of the SEAL logo on products and services is a formal indication of a vendor's conformity to established interoperability standards and its commitment to delivering solutions of a high standard quality. Additionally, it serves as the exclusive proof of a vendor’s participation in an IHE Connectathon and the successful testing of one or more IHE profiles in one or more system-under-test.
