The scientific paper “On the Evolution of Semantic Warehouses: The Case of Global Record of Stocks and Fisheries” received one of the two Best Paper Awards at the 14th International Conference on Metadata and Semantics Research (MTSR-2020) that was organized as a virtual conference (2-4 December 2020).
This paper elaborates with the evolution of semantic warehouses using as a use case a real and operating semantic warehouse containing information about stocks and fisheries from all over the world. This work identifies the main requirements for refreshing the contents of a semantic warehouse, while at the same time preserving all the manual updates that have been carried out (at the warehouse level). Finally, it proposes an algorithm for carrying out these requirements and delivering a refreshed version of the semantic warehouse.
