SIZEUXIS is one of the most important projects of the Information Society Programme in the context of the 3rd Community Support Framework (CSF). This project involves telecommunication and telematics services of big scale and covers the whole set of Public Organizations (Ministries, General Secretariats, Municipalities, Organizations of Local Authority, Prefectures, Citizen Service Centers, Hospitals, Medical Centers, Military Offices, CSF Managing Authorities), covering the complex needs for combining advanced services for speech, data and images.
The main goal of this project is to enhance the communication among public services, as well as their communication with the citizens, having as main vehicle the creation of the SIZEUXIS network. This network will constitute the foundation on which the development of advanced telecommunications and telematics services will be based, as an aggregated service for citizens, with automated and user friendly information systems for transactions with Public Parties.
A project with these specifications demands from the partners involved to implement and combine a set of innovative technological solutions in various areas (infrastructure, network architecture, network management), which will be the focus of this presentation.
