The CARV laboratory of the Institute of Computer Science at the Foundation for Research and Technology - Hellas, is seeking applicants for engineer/developer/programmer positions in the area of distributed runtime systems. Ideal candidates would be knowledgeable in topics like task scheduling, dynamic dependence analysis, dataflow and streaming computations, map-reduce, or bulk synchronous parallel graph processing.
Required Skills:
An in-depth understanding of large-scale data processing, strong programming and systems development expertise, software engineering, fluency in English.
Desired Skills:
Experience in some of: distributed processing software and languages like Hadoop, StreaMIT, Sequoia, Apache Pig, Scala, distributed data structures, concurrency and synchronization, message-passing parallel computation.
Education:
Candidates should have or be near completion of a M.Sc. in computer science, computer engineering, or related field.
