[ICS-2378] Call for expression of interest for one (1) position for an R&D Engineer with a degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering

We seek one (1) recent graduate Engineer with a degree in Computer Science or Computer for our team. The candidate will participate in the R&D activities of FORTH in the context of the EC-funded project RISER. The RISER project will develop and validate open-source designs for standardized form-factor system platforms suitable for supporting cloud services, featuring RISC-V processor chips from contemporary European initiatives. Specifically, RISER will build two cloud-focused platforms: (1) An accelerator platform, in the form of a PCIe acceleration board designed for integration with HPC servers; (2) A microserver platform consisting of RISC-V chips coupled with high-speed storage and networking. The open-source system board designs of RISER will be accompanied by open-source low-level firmware and systems software, and a representative Linux-based software stack to support cloud services, facilitating uptake and enhancing the commercialization path of project results. Three use cases will be developed to evaluate and demonstrate the capabilities of RISER platforms: a) Acceleration of compute workloads; b) Networked object and key-value storage; c) Containerized execution as part of a provider-managed IaaS environment. The RISER consortium consists of seven partners, from academia, research centers and industry.

The EVOLVE project is a pan European Innovation Action introducing important elements of High‐Performance Computing (HPC) and Cloud in Big Data platforms taking advantage of recent technological advancements to allow existing and emerging applications to keep up with the unprecedented data growth we are experiencing. EVOLVE aims to build a large‐scale testbed by integrating technology from the HPC, Big Data, and Cloud worlds.

[ICS-1743] Πρόσκληση εκδήλωσης ενδιαφέροντος για δύο (2) θέσεις έκτακτου προσωπικού για Μηχανικό Λογισμικού / Προγραμματιστή στο πλαίσιο υλοποίησης νέων αναπτυξιακών έργων πληροφορικής που έχει αναλάβει το Κέντρο Εφαρμογών και Υπηρεσιών Ηλεκτρονικής Υγείας του ΙΠ-ΙΤΕ

Ανάπτυξη λογισμικών (full stack developer), όπως προσδιορίζεται μέσα από την Εφαρμογή Διαχείρισης Εργασιών από τον Υπεύθυνο της Ομάδας.
Συμμετοχή σε όλα τα στάδια υλοποίησης ή αναβάθμισης εφαρμογών, από τη σύλληψη ως την εφαρμογή.
Συγγραφή πηγαίου κώδικα υψηλής ποιότητας αλλά και αποτελεσματικών API εντός συγκεκριμένων προθεσμιών
Αξιολόγηση υφιστάμενων εφαρμογών για επαναπρογραμματισμό, ενημέρωση και προσθήκη νέων χαρακτηριστικών.
Ανάπτυξη τεχνικών εγγράφων και εγχειριδίων για την ακριβή αναπαράσταση του σχεδιασμού και του κώδικα της εφαρμογής.
Ανάπτυξη, έλεγχο αλλά και τεκμηρίωση των λύσεων λογισμικού που παραδίδει προς τελικό έλεγχο και αποδοχή από τους επιχειρησιακούς συνεργάτες (UAT) - ακολουθώντας πάντα τις βασικές αρχές ανάπτυξης λογισμικού και σύμφωνα με τις πολιτικές του εργαστηρίου.
Συμμετοχή σε εκπαιδευτικά προγράμματα και σεμινάρια ώστε να υπάρχει συνεχής ενημέρωση και εξέλιξη πάνω στις τελευταίες τεχνολογίες και μεθοδολογίες ανάπτυξης λογισμικών.
