[ICS-1516] One (1) position of an experienced System Software Engineer, with a degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering, at the Institute of Computer Science (ICS) Foundation for Research and Technology – Hellas (FORTH)
We seek one (1) experienced member for our team, with background in European Research Projects. The candidate will participate in the R&D activities of FORTH in the context of the project EPI: “European Processor Initiative”. The EPI SGA project will be the first phase of the European Processor Initiative Framework Partnership Agreement, whose aim is to design and implement a roadmap for a new family of low-power European processors for extreme scale computing, high-performance Big-Data and a range of emerging applications.

[ICS-1513] Μία (1) θέση εγγεγραμμένου Διδακτορικού Φοιτητή με Μεταπτυχιακό τίτλο σπουδών στην Επιστήμη Υπολογιστών, Μηχανικής Υπολογιστών, Νευροεπιστημών ή σε συναφές πεδίο
Η κατανόηση του τρόπου με τον οποίο τα δίκτυα από κύτταρα του φλοιού συντονίζονται και αλληλο-επιδρούν μεταξύ τους, προκειμένου να επεξεργάζονται τις πληροφορίες και να επιτρέπουν στα κυκλώματα του φλοιού να τροποποιούνται κατά τη διάρκεια της μάθησης είναι περιορισμένη. Το προτεινόμενο διεπιστημονικό έργο αφορά τον χαρακτηρισμό in vivo της λειτουργικής αρχιτεκτονικής των δικτύων του οπτικού φλοιού, αναλύοντας δεδομένα που συλλέχθηκαν σε πειράματα, σε συνεργασία με την Ιατρική Σχολή του Πανεπιστημίου Harvard.

[ICS-1512] Οne (1) position – PhD Student in the Institute of Computer Science (ICS) Foundation for Research and Technology – Hellas (FORTH)
ARTEMIS is an open-source tool, currently funded by the RIPE Network Coordination Center (RIPE NCC). Through the Community Projects Fund, the RIPE NCC provides support to projects of value to the operation and resilience of the Internet, with a focus on tools and services benefitting the technical community in the Europe, the Middle East and Central Asia. The candidate will carry out assisting duties for the project, covering general research support. For the project’s technical aspects, he/she is expected to assist is software maintenance tasks, indicatively handling tasks such as overlooking the execution of distributed simulations/emulations, automating processes and assisting in writing reports.
