Gender Issues in Computer Science | Considerations on gender sensitive research | Mind the gender gap in Computer Science
The Institute of Computer Science of FORTH (FORTH-ICS) raises awareness about the underrepresentation of women in Computer Science and empowers them to engage in it.
At the Researchers' Night 2024, we welcomed our visitors with an action dedicated to Gender Equality in Computer Science.
With slogans such as "Mind the Gender Gap in Computer Science", "Equal Minds, Equal Code", "Gender Inclusive Computing" and a video with familiar faces of female employees @FORTH-ICS, we distributed commemorative bracelets with the word "Shience" engraved on them, and had fun with awareness-raising games.
