Stavros Kostomanolakis received his B.S. and M.S. degrees in Computer Science from University of Crete, Greece in 1991 and 1994 respectively. His M.S. thesis, "A Model Supporting Persistent Objects and its Use in Developing an Image Managment System", was in the area of Information Systems and Software Engineering,

11/94 - 11/95 : he works for MISL (Medical Information Systems Laboratory) at ICS-FORTH involved in the design and development of medical applications.

11/95 - 5/97 : he serves Hellinic Army Forces.

7/97 - 1999 : he works for CMI/HTA (Center for Medical Informatics and Health Telematics Applications) at ICS-FORTH invloved in the design and development of Telematic applications in the Health-care domain.

1999 - ... : he works as a teacher in the technical hi-school

His interests include medical information systems, medical and telematic applications, medical standards (DICOM/HL7), object-oriented analysis and design, design patterns, distributed object computing, network programming, PKI.
